Paving Notice - Route 2A

Route 2A Milling and Resurfacing Project

The State of Connecticut has scheduled a milling and resurfacing project for Route 2A from Route 12 in Preston to Route 2 starting on June 27, 2022. A small section of Route 117 by the Preston Community Park will be resurfaced as well. 

• The tentative start date for the MILLING portion of this project is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 27, 2022, and continue for approximately 1 (1) week ending on Friday, July 1, 2022.
• The tentative start date for the PAVING portion of this project is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 8, 2022 and continue for approximately 1 and a half weeks (1.5) weeks ending on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 however, The Department of Transportation is working to complete the paving portion sooner. 

~For both portions of this project the work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. each day.~
