The Board of Assessment Appeals meets annually following the completion of the Grand List. The Board reviews and acts on appeals related to Real Estate and Motor Vehicle assessments on behalf of the Town in accordance with Public Act 95-283.

Meetings are held at the Preston Town Hall in the Lower-Level Conference Room.
Pursuant to Connecticut Public Act 95-283, applications to appeal a Real Estate Assessment must be filed between February 1 and February 20. All sections of the application must be fully completed. The Board of Assessment Appeals is not required to schedule a hearing for incomplete applications.
Hearings for Real Estate, Personal Property, and Supplemental Motor Vehicle appeals are held during the month of March.
